What is IMC Club?
IMC Club is an award winning College and Career Readiness Program for 2nd - 5th grade students. Members consistently model the “Jefferson Way.” They show respect, responsibility, and are ready to learn. Members model proper library and lab behavior. Members are typically referred by classroom teachers. Responsibilities include attending all IMC Club meetings Thursdays from 3:30-4:30. They help staff and students search for and find books in the library. They also help staff and students check in and check out books. They help keep library and lab neat. Members learn how books are shelved. They also help with marketing and advertising of Book Fairs and Library Fund-Raisers. They sign in for all meetings and jobs so IMC club advisors and families know where their students are. Students wear their IMC Club name-tag at meetings, while doing jobs, working at book fairs, and fundraisers. Membership Benefits Include: Before and after school and recess access to the library and lab if wearing name tag and demonstrating the "Jefferson Way". First access to new and discarded library books. They are the first to learn new technologies available to Jefferson Students.
